Early bird tickets are now on sale for Mayhem 2022.

Early bird tickets are now on sale for the 18^th edition of Mayhem Film Festival - Nottingham's very own weekend showcase of the best horror, sci-fi and cult film from around the world.

Mayhem Film Festival curator Steven Sheil cannot wait for this year's festival to begin: "Mayhem Film Festival is now 18, which means we can finally watch our programme and have a few drinks in the Café Bar, legally!"

Mayhem Film Festival co-curator, Chris Cooke added: "We're currently putting together the full line-up for the Mayhem weekend and will be announcing our line-up over the coming weeks. All we can say is that it's looking like it'll be another vintage year!"

Caroline Hennigan, Broadway's Programme Director, is looking forward to welcoming Mayhem fans from across the UK back to Broadway Cinema: "Mayhem is one of our biggest weekends of the year, with an amazing atmosphere that always brings in new film fans to Broadway. The Mayhem team - Steven, Chris and Meli - always programme an eclectic and unique festival that gets people talking and we're sure this year's line-up will be no exception."

Early bird tickets are now on sale and Mayhem fans can purchase either a full festival pass for £75 that includes Thursday evening's screenings or keep it to the weekend only (Friday-Sunday) for £70. Tickets can be purchased from the Broadway website.

In previous years, Mayhem has welcomed many filmmakers from around the world such as Gareth Edwards (Godzilla, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) for Monsters, Mark Gatiss (The League of Gentlemen, Sherlock) for a special masterclass, Ben Wheatley for a preview screening of Sightseers, Nicolas Roeg for a special screening of Don't Look Now at St. Mary's Church in Nottingham, and cult Canadian collective Astron-6 for The Editor and The Void. Mayhem Film Festival has also hosted special events such as screenings with specially-commissioned live scores from 8MM Orchestra, two exclusive live stage reading of unmade Hammer Films screenplays, The Unquenchable Thirst of Dracula in 2015 and Zeppelin V. Pterodactyls in 2017, and a live performance of Tales of HP Lovecraft by The Duke St Workshop featuring British actor Laurence R. Harvey.
